Crystal Structure Determination and Refinement
Interns will learn to process raw X-ray diffraction data, perform indexing and space group determination, and refine crystal structures using software such as SHELX or JANA2006. They will work with real experimental datasets to determine atomic positions, bond lengths, and crystal symmetries of novel materials.

Phase Identification and Quantitative Analysis
Interns will develop skills in identifying crystalline phases in multi-phase materials using powder X-ray diffraction patterns and Rietveld refinement techniques. They will quantify phase composition in industrial samples and understand how composition affects material properties and performance.

In-Situ and Temperature-Dependent XRD Studies
Interns will conduct time-resolved crystallography experiments to study structural changes during heating, cooling, or chemical reactions. They will analyze phase transitions, thermal expansion, and reaction kinetics by monitoring diffraction patterns under controlled environmental conditions.
