Organic Matter Decomposition and Pathogen Ecology
Interns will study how plant residue quality, decomposition rates, and carbon dynamics influence root rot pathogen populations and activity in soil ecosystems. They will conduct incubation studies tracking organic matter degradation alongside pathogen population fluctuations under different moisture and temperature regimes.
