Regulatory Mechanisms and Global Gene Expression in Secondary Metabolism

Interns will investigate transcriptional regulators such as pathway-specific transcription factors and cross-pathway regulators that control secondary metabolite biosynthesis. They will use RT-qPCR and RNA-seq analysis to understand metabolic switches and nutrient-dependent gene expression patterns in microorganisms.
