Microbiology

A microbiology intern works on live, supervised bench tasks: preparing and sterilising media, performing aseptic transfers, culturing and sub-culturing organisms, staining and identifying isolates, running susceptibility and biochemical tests and recording results in a lab notebook. You shadow real protocols and progressively own pieces of them, building skills the classroom cannot teach.

Internships are open to B.Sc and M.Sc students in microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, life sciences and allied fields, and to graduates preparing for laboratory roles. Entry tracks assume no bench experience; advanced tracks expect familiarity with aseptic technique and core staining.

Programmes run across academic, professional, industrial and research tracks, in both online and offline modes. Academic tracks satisfy curriculum and credit needs; professional and industrial tracks focus on quality-controlled, workplace-ready technique; research tracks support dissertation and publication work.
